Tournament: Get5Bass Summer Series

Practice: No Practice for this one....

 

Tournament: Other than the ABTT being on Saturday, I thought this one was setting up for an awesome river bite. I figured with the ABTT in town, I might be getting a lot of "sloppy seconds" on Sunday. Even so, when I got everyone taken off, I headed out for a river bite. I decided to hit some banks I hit last week to start the day. The 1st two were total duds, and on the third bank I caught a keeper Kentucky. Not exactly what I was looking for, but hey I was on the board. As I made my way upriver, I noticed the water level was higher than I expected it to be. This made the bite confusing, as the fish were not positioned how I expected them to be. I was able to kind of figure out a pattern and ended up catching a fair number of fish, but never got a bite bigger than 2 and a quarter pounds...

Final Thoughts: These last two weeks have been a lot of bun but no meat. Let's hope I can turn that around next week!!!
