Chalk another W up for the A-Rig. Last Week's Western Division Everstart
tournament on Lake Shasta (California) was dominated by the industry's
latest and greatest money maker - the A-Rig. Over the next year we will
learn so much more about using this new tool. Unfortunately, we will likely
not learn how the industry's top professionals fish these rigs. Why? Because
the Bassmaster Elite Series has banned any presentation with two or more
lures or baits with hooks. This will effectively kill the A-Rig during Elite
Series events - Or will it? Many of the folks chunking the A-Rig have
figured out that it is the "school of baitfish" that triggers bass to eat the
swimbaits attached to the rigs. Just a prediction, but I bet one - if not many
of the Elite Pro's will figure out "legal" presentations that mimic the strike
inducing qualities of the A-Rig.... Only time will tell..............
Speaking of a "school of baitfish", does anything mimic one better than the

Championship on Bull Shoals Lake
David Wooten and Carl Wooten Win on Bull Shoals Lake!!!
David and Carl Wooten topped 19 teams fishing the Get5Bass Winter
Series Championship on Bull Shoals lake by catching 5 bass that weighed
20.98 pounds. For their efforts, David and Carl took home $1,200 in cash
and a $600 certificate for Mr. Bass of Arkansas Entry Fees. They had a
great day on the water, commenting that they culled several times. Their
bass were all caught on the A-rig.

Vince Miller's Super Team Set to Begin This Sunday on Lake
Ouachita
The first Super Team Tournament of 2012 is set for this Sunday, February
12th on Lake Ouachita (Crystal Springs). The Entry Fee is $200 per team
with an optional $20 big bass pot. This is going to be a great year for Super
Team, with the winning team at the championship (October 6th and 7th -
Lake Ouachita) taking home a Nitro Z-7 with a 150 HP Mercury Outboard.
