Kevin Jones and Terry Duffle Win with 17.42 pounds

Near freezing temperatures and a steady north wind didn’t keep the 59
teams off the water for the annual Walmart Childrens Miracle Network
Fishing Tournament. The weather probably had an effect on the fish today
as less than half the field brought in a limit. It was a tight race for first place,
but the team of Kevin Jones and Terry Duffle took the honors today. Here is
how they caught their fish.
First Place – 17.42lbs Kevin Jones/Terry Duffle
They concentrated their efforts up river throwing white spinnerbaits along
grass lines. They also caught a couple of fish on Lizards. They only caught 8
keepers for day.
Neil Ford and Gordon Parham take 2nd
Second Place – 17.23lbs Neil Ford/Gordon Parham
The fishing was good for them in Piney Bay as they caught 3 limits of fish
today. All the fish were caught on Black & Blue Jigs in deeper water. They
pulled back from the grass line and were bunched up.
Richard Wood and Zach King
Third Place – 16.27lbs Zach King/ Richard Wood
Zach and Richard fished upriver and in Piney Bay throwing Red Yo-zuri
rattletraps. They caught a few on a jig but all the fish they weighed in were
on the rattletrap, and they caught 9 keepers on the day.
