Rob Williams and Robert Burtrum Win on Norfork Lake!!!

The Championship tournament for the R&H Winter Bass-O-Thon was determined by a coin flip in the last qualifying event held at Bull Shoals and Tails had it. Sending the top 20 teams and 2 draw teams to Lake Norfork February 13th. The lake is down to normal level and the water has cooled down to 42 degrees in most areas and even colder back in the creeks. The shad kill has started making the bite a little tougher than previous weeks, but as always there will be teams that figure them out and bring good stringers. The final pays down to half the field and draw prizes like 2 Minn Kotta Trolling motors, Batteries and gift packs make this an awesome event!
Rob Williams and Robert Burtrum take the win with 5 bass at 15.59 lbs. The team reported catching a limit down the lake early on gitzits and crankbaits They worked their way back up the lake in the afternoon hours. They hit a couple of brush piles using jerkbaits and culled all their early fish out with the winning stringer after 1pm. The team took home $2,200, Ranger Jackets, and trophies for their day.
2nd Place
2nd place went to Max Atkinson (last years AOY) and Shawn White with 5 bass at 15.15. The team reported catching all their fish early on "long bills" (deep diving jerk baits). They took home $1,000-Ranger Jackets and trophies for their day.
3rd place
3rd place went to the team of Wes Rogers and Henry Maguffee with 5 fish at 14.77. They raked in $700, Ranger jackets, and trophies. The team also took 2nd Big bass with a 4.35lb. Black taken on jerkbait which earned them an extra $100.
4th place
4th place and Big Bass Honors went to team Randy Zeigler and Tony Mosier- AKA team "Money Bags"With a 5.37 black taken on Jerkbait. The team also took AOY raking in a grand total of $900, Jackets, Trophies and 2 Humminbird depth finders!
