Danny and Keith Gulledge Win the Warren Bass Club
Open Tournament at Lake Wallace

Danny and Keith Gulledge Win on Lake Wallace!!!

Story by Jeremy Risley

Danny and Keith topped 32 boats to take the win at Lake Wallace on Saturday
September 1.  This tournament is held every year on Labor Day at Lake
Wallace and is very popular among anglers in the area.  The competition at this
tournament is always stiff due to the good payouts and draw prizes. In the past,
there has been up to 50 to 60 boats fishing and winning stringers in the 20
pound range.  At the end of the day, the Warren Bass Club has plenty of draw
prizes so most everyone leaves with something. With Hurricane Gustav starting
to make its presence known, the fishing should have been good but
unfortunately it was pretty tough out there. Here is how the top 3 finishers
caught their fish:

1st – Danny and Keith Gulledge - 5 bass – 15.5 pounds -$450

Danny and Keith stated they caught their fish on a 10-inch worms and a blue
herring spinnerbait.

2nd – Jeremy Risley and Andy Case - 5 bass – 13.15 pounds - $320

Jeremy and Andy caught their fish on Paca Craws at the north end of the lake.

tournament.

3rd – Randal Johnson and J.R. Grubb - 5 bass – 13.10 pounds - $195

Randal and J.R. continue to be strong at Lake Wallace. They caught their fish
on worms. Randal stated “the day was tough.”

Big Bass – Robert Rush – 6.8 pounds - $320

Robert caught this “Baby Cub” on a Zoom Ol’ Monster Worm.
