Stauber/Harris Win Super Team Tournament on the
                      Arkansas River

Mike Harris and Marty Stauber won the tournament, but they
had a little help from "MJ" when showing them off.

The final tournament of Vince Miller's Super Team trail took place Sunday on the
Arkansas River out of the Little Rock Pool (Pool 6). The 48 teams were greeted
with blazing hot temperatures, high humidity, and almost no river flow to speak
of -but plenty of bass were brought to the scales. Here's how the top 5 teams
caught their fish:

1st place - Marty Stauber/Mike Harris - 5 bass - 13.64 pounds

Marty and Mike stayed in Pool 6 and had 4 of their 5 keepers in the boat by 6:45
AM. They were tossing crankbaits early, and lost a good fish in their morning
flurry that they thought would cost them the tournament. They landed 6 keepers
throughout the day and were able to cull a 13" Kentcuky at 2:30 PM, When Marty
landed a good keeper largemouth on a Tsunami swimbait in bleeding shad color.
Their first place finish was worth $5,000.00. They also added $360.00 for the
day's second big bass - which weighed 3.98 pounds.

2nd place - Terry Hopson/Teddy Bogart - 5 bass - 13.22 pounds

Terry and Teddy locked through
to the Pine Bluff Pool (Pool 4) and
through a jig n' frog around
brushpiles. They caught a 3-pounder
when they got back to Pool 6,
which enabled them to upgrade their
limit. They took home $700.00 for
their efforts.

3rd place - Brandon Rhoden/Duke Gunnell - 5 bass - 12.97 pounds

Brandon and Duke also locked through to the Pine
Bluff Pool, where they concentrated on sand drops
to catch 8 keeper fish throughout the day. They used
Carolina-rigged Baby Brush Hogs to help them take
the third place prize of $550.00.

4th place - Fred Martin/Chris Phillips - 5 bass - 11.72 pounds

Fred and Chris stayed in the
Little Rock Pool to take 4th place.
They caught a couple of fish early
on a buzzbait, but then switched
to finesse tactics to fill their limit.
For their finesse fishing, they used
Zoom trick worms on jigheads. Their
4th place finish earned them $410.00

5th place - Paul Sarna/Joey Hurley - 4 bass - 9.45 pounds

Paul and Joey stayed in the Little Rock Pool to take
5th place. They used Zara Spooks and jig-head
worms to catch their fish. Paul lost a big spotted bass
late in the day on a spook that would have been
their limit fish. They earned $400.
