Hopson/Bogard Win Super Team Championship at Dumas!!!
Terry Hopson and Teddy Bogard win with a two-day total of 27.06 pounds
Terry Hopson and Teddy Bogard topped 35 teams fishing Vince Miller's Super Team Championship this weekend at the Dumas Pool of the Arkansas River by bringing 10 bass to the scales weighing 27.06 pounds during the two-day event. For their efforts, they took home a $5,000.00 check. Here's how the top 4 teams caught their fish:
Terry and Teddy caught their fish punching water hyacinth mats with Texas-rigged plastics. On day 1, they relied on Green Pumpkin/Blue Zoom Brush Hogs, but switched to Reaction Innovation's Sweet Beavers (California color) on Day 2. "My partner showed out today - And I really appreciate that" said Teddy of Terry's performance on Sunday.
Matt and Danny concentrated on jetty tips and "drains" up the river to catch their fish. On day 1, water was draining into the river through notches, and the fish were positioned perfectly. The "drain" fish were landed on War Eagle spinnerbaits (Mouse) and crankbaits. On Day 2, most of their fish were caught near jetty tips on Carolina-rigged Zoom Baby Brush Hogs (Watermelon Candy) Danny Myatt and Matt Lea
3rd - Mel and Gene Davis - 10 Bass - 24.06 pounds - $1,000
Mel and Gene concentrated their efforts on wood located near the main river channel. They used "Mel Davis Special" Spinnerbaits to land their fish, which were relating tight to cover.

4th - Evan Webster and Eddie Woody - 10 Bass - 23.99 pounds - $900
Evan and Eddie concentrated their efforts on rocks near the main river channel. They threw 1/2 oz. Rattletraps (blue back/orange belly) to catch their fish. On day 1, they landed an estimated 40 keepers (many of which were spotted bass). They managed to catch a couple good largemouth a day - enough to propel them to a fourth place finish.
