Duke Gunnell and Brandon Rhoden Win the Super Team Championship on DeGray Lake
Brandon Rhoden and Duke Gunnell Win on DeGray Lake!!!
Duke Gunnell and Brandon Rhoden topped 32 teams fishing Vince Miller's Super Team Championship on DeGray Lake by catching a total of 33.41 pounds during the two day tournament. Fishing was tough on DeGray and limits were scarce, but Duke and Brandon were able to capitalize on a solid deep bite to take the championship victory. Here's how the top three teams caught their fish:
1st - Duke Gunnell and Brandon Rhoden - 33.41 pounds - $5,000.00
Duke and Brandon fished extremely deep to win this championship. They concentrating on areas between 28 and 55 feet deep, where they threw Carolina-rigged Zoom Baby Brushhogs and swimbaits to catch their fish. Their sack on day one included the big bass of the tournament, a 4.71 pound "baby cub", that hit a swimbait.
2nd - Kelly Coble and Lee Anderson - 23.37 pounds - $2,500.00
Kelly and Lee "Junk fished" to take second place. They threw spinnerbaits, jigs, and topwater baits to catch their bass.

3rd - Tommy and Kevin Martin - 21.95 pounds - $1,000.00
Tommy and Kevin also fished deep. Their key bait was a tube (smoke/ red flake) fished in 25 feet of water.
