Greg Grandt and Gary Scott Win on DeGray Lake !!!
Greg Grandt and Gary Scott topped 53 teams fishing Vince Miller's Super Team Tournament on DeGray Lake by catching 5 bass that tipped the scales at 17.78 pounds. Their bag also included the day's big bass, a 5.38 pounder. Although the angler's were greeted by a rain shower at launch, skies cleared quickly which made for a pleasant day of fishing. The bite was also pleasant, as 24 limits crossed the scales. Here's how the top 3 teams caught their fish:
1st- Greg Grandt and Gary Scott - 5 bass - 17.78 pounds - $2,500.00
Greg and Gary concentrated on deep water to take this tournament. They fished the outside edge of the grass with Jewel Football Jigs (3/4 oz.; Green Gourd; Paca Chunk Trailer) to catch their fish. They said that they had a great day and boated 11 or 12 keepers.
2nd - Tommy and Kevin Martin - 5 bass - 15.93 pounds - $1,200.00
Tommy and Kevin concentrated on the inside edge of the grass, where their primary lure was a Carolina - rigged green pumpkin lizard. They also boated fish on a swimbait and a jig.
