Duke Gunnell and Brandon Rhoden Win the Super Team
Tournament on Lake Dardanelle
Brandon Rhoden and Duke Gunnell Win on Lake Dardanelle!!!
Duke Gunnell and Brandon Rhoden topped 39 teams fishing Vince Miller's
Super Team Tournament on Lake Dardanelle by catching 5 bass that
weighed 16.49 pounds. High pressure and bright blue skies made for a tough
bite, but 11 teams still managed to bring 5-bass limits to the scales. Here's
how the top 3 teams caught their bass:
1st - Duke Gunnell and Brandon Rhoden - 5 bass - 16.49 pounds
Duke and Brandon started in the strip pits, where they caught an early limit
sight fishing. Later in the day, they were able to upgrade by pitching their
baits to stumps. All of their bass were caught on Texas-rigged lizards.
2nd - Steve and Malinda Powell - 5 bass - 15.27 pounds
Steve and Malinda had a great day
on the water. Their bass were caught
on spinnerbaits and Big O crankbaits.
Their sack included the day's big
bass, a 6.50 pound "Kraken", that
Malinda caught on the crankbait.

3rd - Steve Howard - 5 bass - 14.15 pounds
Steve also had a great day on the
water. He commented that he caught
30 fish on chatterbaits (black) fished
around pad stems.
