Steve and Malinda Powell Win the Arkansas Couples
Tournament on Lake Chicot
Steve and Malinda Powell Win on Lake Chicot!!!

The sixth tournament for Arkansas’ Couples opened with hot conditions, air
temperatures 90-100 and the water temperature at 93. The 17 couples
caught 28 fish weighing 75.10 lbs with 1/5 fish limits.
First were Steve and Malinda Powell who used brown and green jigs shallow
around cypress knees and shallow brush to weigh 5 bass at 19.10lbs to win
the tournament and earn $725. They anchored there stringer with a 6.15
lunker earning them $179
Second was Jason Keen, he used frogs to weigh 7.13 Lbs and earn $350.
Third were Cliff and Kathy Crowder. They used Strike King jigs and rage
tail trailers to catch 7.04lbs and earn them $250 for their efforts.

The next Arkansas Couples tournament will be September 12th at North
River Landing on the Arkansas River with registration at Fish’N Stuff on
Saturday.
