Zach and Tonya King Win Arkansas Couples Tournament on
Lake Dardanelle
Tonya and Zach King Crush 23.12 pounds to Win on Lake Dardanelle!!
Zach and Tonya King topped 43 couples fishing the second Arkansas
Couples Tournament of 2008 by catching 5 bass that weighed 23.12 pounds.
Lake Dardanelle continues to "crank out" big sacks and this week was no
exception. Here's how the top 3 teams caught their fish.
1st - Zach and Tonya King - 5 bass - 23.12 pounds - $1,050.00
Zach and Tonya started their day in Piney Bay, where they threw Booyah
jigs (3/8 oz. - Black/Blue) around grass to catch a quick limit in the morning.
To upgrade their bag, the couple went to the strip pits and found a 7-pounder
and a 4.5 pounder on beds. They were able to catch both fish on Zoom Speed
Craws (White) and the rest is history. In addition to their first place check,
Zach and Tonya qualify for the Skeeter Real Money Bonus of $3,000.00.
2nd - Bradley and Shanna Davis - 5 bass - 19.38 pounds - $600.00
Bradley and Shanna fished in the
Spadra area, where they were able
to catch the 2nd-place stringer on
spinnerbaits.

3rd - Wayne and Michelle Dixon - 5 bass - 16.92 pounds - $450.00
Wayne and Michelle went upriver,
where they caught their fish by
pitching Senkos into the dead
grass.
