Ault/Cotnam win Trader Bill's Team Tournament on
Lake Dardanelle
Greg Ault and Duane Cotnam win with 19.54 lbs.
Lake Dardanelle served up another "Giant Sized" winning sack this Sunday,
as Greg Ault and Duane Cotnam brought in 5 bass weighing 19.54 lbs to take
the victory at the Trader Bill's Team Tournament. The duo said their day
started off slow, and they didn't have a keeper in the boat the first three
hours. After the sun came out, they changed their pattern and experienced 2
hours of fantastic fishing. They caught
their fish on topwater baits and jigs in the mid-lake area. Greg thanks Brook's
Marine in Bauxite and Trader Bill's for their support.
2nd place - Ryan and Spencer Shuffield (5 Bass - 18.01 lbs)
If you recognized the name it's
for a good reason. Ryan and
Spencer are the sons of touring
pro Ron Shuffield. The
brothers proved that they did
receive the bass fishing gene,
by bringing in 5 bass weighing
a little over 18 lbs. Ryan said
they caught their fish in the
mid-lake area swimming a Spencer and Ryan Shuffield
black/blue Stanley Jig tipped with
a zoom trailer around the grass.
3rd place - Tim Nesterenko and Bryce Miner JR.
Tim said there day got off to a great start when they caught a big fish first
thing in the morning. Things didn't go great all day for the duo, as they
struggled for much of the morning and lost a toad that would have weighed 5
or 6 pounds. They really started whacking em' when the sun got higher and
caught their biggest fish (5 + pounder) with minutes remaining in the
tournament. They caught their fish in the mid-lake area on Black Stan Sloan
Booza Bug Jigs fished around vegetation.
4th place - Chris and Kelly Lindsey
Chris and Kelly's day got off to
slow start in Delaware Bay, but
picked up when they moved to a
location in the mid-lake area.
They caught their fish on the
edge of the grass on Black/Blue
Jigs and White Bandit
Crankbaits.
