Aaron McNeely and Robert Ellison Jr. Win Trader Bill's Team
Tournament on Lake Greeson
Robert Ellison Jr. and Aaron McNeely win with 17.89 pounds!
The duo of Robert Ellison Jr. and Aaron McNeely topped 93 teams fishing
the Trader Bill's Team Tournament this Sunday on Lake Greeson by
catching 5 bass that tipped the scales at 17.89 pounds. The Greeson bite
was on fire, as 79 teams brought 5 bass limits to the scales. Here's how the
top 5 teams caught their fish:
1st - Aaron McNeely/Robert Ellison Jr. - 5 bass - 17.89 pounds
Aaron and Robert concentrated their efforts on the middle section of
Greeson. Their fish were caught off of main lake points (10 - 12 ft. deep) on
black and blue jigs. They had a great day on the water, and caught 20
keepers during the event.
2nd - Derek Suit/Richard Gay - 5 bass - 16.71 pounds
Derek and Richard's sack
was anchored by the day's
big bass, a 6.08 pound
"hawg". They caught fish
all day long, and landed
15 - 20 keepers on the day.
They threw spinnerbaits on
the upper end of Greeson to
catch their fish. The key to
their day was to find wind
blown areas, which helped
their spinnerbait bite Richard Gay and Derek Suit
3rd - Adam Wright and Greg Dyer - 5 bass - 14.90 pounds
Adam and Greg caught 10
keeper bass and a grass carp on
the day. The carp, which looked
to be at least 40 pounds, won
them the "trash pot" honors.
Their bass were caught in the
back of creeks on Rat-L-Traps
(Red, Chrome Blue) and jigs.

4th - Tommy and Denny Thompson - 5 bass - 14.89 pounds
Tommy and Denny concentrated
their efforts on the middle
section of Greeson, where they
caught their fish on spinnerbaits,
crankbaits, and jerkbaits. Their
bag was anchored by the 2nd
biggest bass of the day, a 5.74
pound lunker. Most of their fish
came off of main lake points and
chuck rock banks. They landed
20 keepers on the day. Denny and Tommy Thompson

5th - Carl and Greg Capenter - 5 bass - 14.85 pounds
Greg and Carl dragged
Carolina-rigged Zoom Lizards
in 8 - 16 ft. of water to catch
their fish. They caught 17
keepers on the day.
