Scott Boatwright and Jamey Black Win Sherwood Bass Club
Tournament on the Arkansas River

Twenty seven boats launched out of Tar Camp Ramp for the next to last
2007 tournament for Sherwood Bass. The morning was hot and humid and
most of the anglers knew there would be lots of boat traffic as the AR Big
Bass Bonanza tournament was being held the same day. But since there had
been 60+ days of small craft warnings on the river, the field was ready to hit
the water and see if their hot spots were still producing.
At the end of the day, 15 teams weighed in 5-bass limits for a great day of
fishing. The winning team of Boatwright and Black topped the field with a 5
bass limit that weighed 15.61 lbs. The team said they caught 2 of their fish
early on main river with buzzbaits and then had to move into back water in
the afternoon to finish out their limit on crankbaits and plastics.
