Jim and Adrian Alexander Win the Sherwood Bass Club
Tournament on Lake Dardanelle

The 6th tournament of the year for Sherwood Bass Club was held June 20 at
Lake Dardanelle . The past few weeks all the reports said the lake was
fishing tough and the bite was slow. So the anglers knew they would be
fishing tough conditions, besides facing temps in the upper 90’s and very
little wind. So 45 teams hit the lake at 5:30 AM to test their skills and all
hoping to find the fish to win. But after 9 hard hours of fishing with many
teams coming in early due to the heat and tough fishing conditions, the team
of Jim and Adrian Alexander came to the scales with 13.59 lbs to claim the
victory.
1st Place Team: Jim and Adrian Alexander said they caught all their fish
from Noon to 2 PM in deep water fishing a finese worm. The win earned
them $810.00
2nd place Team: Greg Meador/Alan Petlak came in with a weight of 13.46
lbs for second place. They said they caught their fish around grass with a
swimming jig and frogs. They won $495
3rd Place Team: Byron Towner/Cecil Wyatt came in with a weight of 13.14
lbs for third place. They said they caught all their fish on topwater early and
were culling by 7:30 am Said they caught 2 limits on topwater. They earned
$315 for their efforts.
