Joe Norris and Kevin Goodwin Win the Sherwood Bass Club Open on
Lake Ouachita
Joe Norris and Kevin Goodwin Win on Lake Ouachita!!!

Sherwood Bass Club held their open tournament March 6th at Lake
Ouachita . 46 teams fished the event and all were hoping the fishing
would pick up after a week of warm temps had arrived in the area. And
as a lot of them found out, the fishing had turned on and the weights
jumped up from the previous tournaments held in late February. Even
though there were a few zero’s at the end of the day the fishing proved
great for a few of the teams and the team of Joe Norris and Kevin
Goodwin found the spot that held some great fish winning with a weight
of 18.62 lbs.
Here is a recap of the top 3 winners:
1st - Joe Norris and Kevin Goodwin said they caught their fish on points
using shad colored traps. They had a weight of 18.62 lbs
2nd place
2nd - Timmy Cook and Kyle Henderson caught their fish on jerkbaits on
the main lake. They had a weight of 17.59 lbs
3rd place
3rd - Hoyt Akins and Doug Thompson caught their fish using Norman
Deep Little N’s. Their weight was 15.95 lbs.
Balance of the top ten were:
4th Phillip Flanders - 14.70 lbs
5th Ron Plate/Bob Tidball - 14.67 lbs
6th Al Fisher - 14.61 lbs
7th Doug Langley/Danny Gwinn - 14.38 lbs
8th Gary/Ryan Montgomery - 12.43 lbs
9th Doug Shrum/Ron Lowallen - 11.05 lbs
10th Chip/Hawkins/Sam Eastwood - 9.19 lbs.
Big bass of the day was a Ouachita Hog 7.30 lbs caught by Brian
Kirkendoll and Billy Holt.
