Poor Boy's Bass Club Wins River Valley Shootout on Lake Dardanelle
The six-angler team (consisting of David James, Rex Rose, Carl Dickens, Larry English, Ray Dotson, and Mike Markham) representing the Poor Boy's Bass Club won the River Valley Bass Clubs Invitational Shootout tournament this Saturday on Lake Dardanelle. Poor Boy's defeated 6 other clubs by weighing in a cumulative total of 24.58 pounds of bass. The format of the tournament was simple - each club had three 2-angler teams that each had a 5 bass limit. The cumulative weight for the club was simply the combined weight of the three 2-angler teams (also pictured - Ron Knost)
John Judkins and Justin Lancaster (Dardanelle Bass Club) had the big bag of the day on the individual side. Here's how they caught their fish:
1st (individual team) John Judkins and Justin Lancaster 4 bass - 11.80 pounds
John and Justin started their day fishing shallow, but when they didn't have a fish in the well at 11:00 am, they adjusted their pattern. They started cranking drop offs and creek channel bends in the lower end of the lake and were able to catch 4 keepers, good enough to earn them 1st place on the individual team side.
