The Annual Peach Festival Bass Tournament was held this past Sunday on Lake
Dardanelle. Seventy-Nine two angler teams participated in the event, which is
organized by the Johnson County Bass Club. The tournament has been a River
Valley tradition for many years. According to Rosco Moore, Johnson County
Bass Club President, the event began 35 or 36 years ago as a benefit tournament,
and has been growing ever since. Rosco and the Johnson County Bass Club
would like to thank everyone for participating in the tournament and look forward
to next year.

Here's how the top 5 teams caught their fish:

1st place - Bill Burkett and Dale Galbraith - 5 bass  - 18.80 pounds

Bill Burkett and Dale Galbraith,
both of Paris, AR. brought in 5 bass
weighing 18.80 pounds to claim the
victory. The duo fished shallow
vegetation early, but when that failed
moved out to deeper drops in the middle
section of the Lake. They used
Carolina -rigged soft plastics and
crankbaits to catch their fish. Bill said
crankbaits were the key to the day as
4 of their 5 keepers were caught on
the cranks'.
