Looking for a "Go to" Crankbait? Check out the Jackall MC/60!
The Jackall MC/60 MR Fools a Good Ouachita Keeper!!!
Looking for a new "go to" crank for fishing the mid to shallow range
depths? Check out the Jackall MC/60. Jackall built this one to emulate a
hand carved crank. The MC/60 has got the action of hand carved crank
without the inconsistencies - As Jackall puts it, you get the best of both
worlds. The MC/60 comes in two
versions, the SR which has a
wedge-shaped square bill and runs
to a depth of 4 feet, and the MR
which has a longer lip and dives to
7 feet. Both baits are the perfect
size, coming in at 2.5-inches in
length and weighing 3/8 oz. Both
models are available in twelve
great colors. During our testing,
we started chucking the MC/60 MR
around shallow rocky banks. On my
first cast I noticed the bait had a
tight wobble - It Just looked
great. On my second cast with it, I noticed one inhaling it!!! Now that's
the way to get confidence in a bait. This one found it's way into my
tournament arsenal quickly!!!. I toss the MC/60 MR it to areas where I
may have thrown a Wiggle Wart or a Bandit 200, but with better results.
We can't wait to start chucking the MC/60 around the Arkansas River -
we think it will be the bomb! The
MC/60 has a fixed weighting
system, which allows for great
castability. We have found that
this bait performs best on 10 or
12-pound test line on a medium
cranking rod. Like most of our
cranks, we throw the MC/60 on
a baitcaster with a 5:1 gear ratio.
The MC/60 is a fish catcher, so
the next time your shopping for
crankbaits check them out! To
