The Jackall Bowstick Makes a Splash on Top!!!

The Jackall Bowstick produces on Bull Shoals Lake!!!

Story by Frank Leone

Post spawn can be a tough bite. Here at
Get5, we count down the days
after the spawn. Of course the first couple of weeks after the spawn can
be brutal, but what we are looking for is the pre-summer peak. The
pre-summer peak is a time when the bass are full recuperated from the
spawn and they get ornery. That's when it's time to pull out the topwater
baits. The Jackall Bowstick 130 is no small unit. Coming in at 5.2 inches
in length and weighing in at 1 oz., this bait has the large profile
necessary to pull quaility fish
to the top. The Bowstick has a very
unique feature that sets it apart from
other walking baits - the tunnel.
The gill tunnell allows water to flow
though the bait while walking. This
flow creates additional splashing
and bubbling, two cues that can help
to produce additional strikes.  The
Bowstick also has a loud rattle
system that can call fish from the
depths to smash it. Another feature
that Jackall has installed on the
Bowstick is the three treble hook
system. The hooks are razor sharp
and we have had good hook-up
ratios during our testing. The
Bowstick is a "Walk the Dog" style
bait. Even though conditions were windy on our first trip to Bull Shoals,
the Bowstick still produced and ran very well. As far as gear goes, the

Bowstick performs best with a fairly
                                                              heavy Co-polymer line. I like 15-
pound test personally, but it would
probably work just as well on 17 or
                                                              20. The bait handled really well on
our Dobyns Champion 684 C and
Savvy Series 664 C rods. The
Bowstick 130 is available in 6 fish
catching colors, and we found the
durability of the finishes to be
excellent. Don't let the post spawn
get you down. Pick up a couple of
Jackall Bowsticks and head to your
your favorite lake, pond, or river.
                                                              You wont be disappointed!!!
