Jeremy Risley Wins the Monticello Bass Club Tournament on
Pool 3 of the Arkansas River
Jeremy Risley Wins on the Arkansas River!!!

Jeremy Risley topped 17 anglers to take the win at Rising Star on Saturday,
July 18. This was the first time that Monticello Bass Club has fished the
Rising Star pool and unfortunately it might be the last time. The actual river
has been fishing really tough lately and you throw no flow into the equation
and you had the makings for a brutal day!! There were only 17 fish weighed
in for a total of 36 pounds. Here is how the top 4 finishers caught their fish:
1st – Jeremy Risley - 3 bass – 8.14 pounds
I caught my fish on Strike King #5 crankbait and Carolina-rigged Netbait
Baby Mad Paca around the mouth of a backwater near the dam.
2nd – Andy Case - 2 bass – 5.10 pounds
Andy caught his fish on a Texas-rigged and Carolina-rigged Netbait Baby
Mad Paca around the mouth of a backwater up river.
3rd – Jim Towers - 2 bass – 5.03 pounds
Jim said he caught his fish on a black jig and Zoom baby brushhog up river.
4th – Paul Francis - 2 bass – 3.08 pounds
Paul said he caught his fish on a Carolina-rig on a shell bed next to a drop.
Big Bass – Jeremy Risley – 4.07 pounds
I caught this “Hammer” on a Carolina-rigged Netbait Baby Mad Paca
around the mouth of a backwater near the dam.
