Billy McCaghren and Lee Anderson Win Metro Bass Club Open on
Lake Dardanelle
Lee Anderson and Billy McCaghren Win on Lake Dardanelle

49 Boats came out for the Metro Bass Club benefit tournament on Lake
Dardanelle this Saturday. The weather was good and the fishing fair but the
team of Billy McCaghren and Lee Anderson took home top honors with
another Lake Dardanelle 20+ lb sack. The money from the tournament will be
donated to the UAPB fisheries and wildlife department for a scholarship. Here
is how the top three caught their fish today.
1st Place
Billy McCaghren/Lee Anderson – 20.84lbs
They stayed shallow all day up river (approx mid Lake area). The key to
finding their fish was locating the last remaining green grass along the
shoreline. Billy and Lee caught all their fish on spinnerbaits.
2nd Place - Jared Allen and Spencer Grace
2nd Place - Spencer Grace/Jared Allen – 17.41lbs
These guys have really had great year and once again in the money. Jared
and Spencer caught all their fish on jigs in the grass. They kept the trolling
motor on high and just covered every place that had grass.
3rd place: Tray Huddleston and Dylan Hawkins
3rd Place - Tray Huddleston/Dylan Hawkins – 15.14lbs
Along with the third place finish Tray caught the days big bass a 6.49
monster. They caught 4 of their fish up river in the Cabin Creek area and
came back down for their 5th. All the fish were caught on Spinnerbaits and
Jigs. The big fish was caught on a frog early in the morning.
