David James and Rex Rose Win the Metro Bass Club Open on
Lake Dardanelle
David James and Rex Rose Win on Lake Dardanelle!!!

Little Rock Metro Bass Club had an open team bass tournament this
weekendand 30 boats came out to challenge the late winter fishing on
Dardanelle. Fishing was tough for most of the field as there was only 1 limit
brought in to the scales. It was the team of Rex Rose and David James that
took top honors this day with only three fish. Here is how they caught their
monsters to take the win:
1st place: Rex Rose with the winning bag
1st Place - Rex Rose/David James 15.31lbs
They ran up river and were fishing in a prespawn cove with Excaliber XR50
chrome/blue. Basically letting them hit the bottom and bring the baits back
slowly. They were able to get three bites early and that was it. With three
good fish like that that is all you need.
2nd Place - Kevin Short/Jeff Sanders 12.25lbs
Ran up river to a clear water creek throwing Megabass 110 in Pro Blue.
They caught a bunch of fish and only culled 1.
3rd Place - Lance Adams/James Witt 10.37lbs
Focused in the mid lake area throwing rattlin raps and Strike King Redeye
shad lipless crankbaits. The bite was early and they tried to upgrade their
fish back down when the wind picked up but were unable to get any more
bites.
