Dylan Hawkins Wins on Dardanelle!!!
Dylan Hawkins topped 81 boaters fishing the third Mr. Bass of Arkansas Tournament of 2008 by catching 5 bass that weighed a whopping 25.42 pounds!!! A warm front pushed into the area early Sunday bringing rain, lightning, thunder, and biting bass. This tournament was a "slug fest" and 5 bags over twenty pounds were brought to the scales. The bite on Dardanelle continues to be on fire, as most tournaments are being won with 23 -25 pound bags. Here's how the top 3 boaters caught their fish:
Dylan fished the mid-lake area, where he threw Booyah Jigs and Gambler Soft Plastics. Fishing around vegetation was key, as some of his fish were caught while he "punched" mats. It is believed that this is the largest winning bag in MBOA history. Dylan is co-owner of Get5Bass sponsor H&R Fiberglass Restoration. To visit their page, Click Here
