Matt Lea Wins the Mr. Bass of Arkansas Tournament
on the Arkansas River
Matt Lea Wins on the Arkansas River!!!
Matt Lea topped 62 boats fishing the final regular season event of
the 2009 MBOA season by catching 5 bass that weighed 13.41
pounds. This was an extremely tough event, as 48% of the pro field
zeroed. Here's how the top 3 finishers caught their fish:
1st - Matt Lea - 5 bass - 13.41 pounds - $2,254.00
Matt fished Pool 7, where
he concentrated his effort
around wood. His fish were
caught on a Jewel Eakins' Jig
(black/blue).
Ronnie Everett and Matt Lea
2nd - Randy Verboon - 5 bass - 11.64 pounds - $1,159.00
Randy stayed in Pool 6, where
he made a milk run of spots to
catch his sack. His fish were
caught on topwater baits,
Senkos, and drop shot plastics.
Randy also won the Ranger
Cup incentive for being the
highest finishing Ranger
Owner.
