Quincy Houchin Wins the Mr. Bass of Arkansas Classic on
DeGray Lake
Quincy Houchin Wins on DeGray Lake!!!
Quincy Houchin topped 35 pro's fishing the 2010 Mr. Bass of Arkansas
Classic by catching 43.07 pounds of bass during the 3-day event. For his
efforts, Quincy took home a Ranger 198 VS boat powered by a 200 HP
Mercury outboard. Here's how the top 3 caught their fish:
1st - Quincy Houchin - 15 bass - 43.07 pounds - Ranger/Mercury Package
Quincy fished a shallow
pattern in the mid to upper
section of DeGray Lake. Most
of his weight was caught on a
Zara Spook, but he also added
a few keepers on a jig and a

2nd place - Ryan Williams - 31.11 pounds
Ryan commented that
schooling bass were the key
to his second place finish

3rd place - Chris Huselton - 30.01 pounds
Chris caught his fish in the
back of shallow pockets on
the first 2 days of the
tournament, but switched to
schooling bass on day 3.

Johnny fished Day 1 with Kelly Coble and Day 2 with Josh Hilton. He
caught his fish on a variety of Texas and Carolina-Rigged Soft plastics.

Mr. Bass of Arkansas Schedule for 2011
A tentative schedule has been set for the 2011 season. The schedule is
tentative and may change due to unforeseen conflicts. A firm schedule will
be in place by November 1st. Here is the tentative 2011 MBOA schedule:
February 13th - Lake Ouachita
March 6th - Greers Ferry Lake
March 20th - DeGray Lake
April 10th - Lake Dardanelle
May 22nd - Lake Ouachita
July 10th - Arkansas River@Little Rock
