Jewel Bait has always been known for top of the line jigs. Along with Elite
Series pro Kevin Short's input, Jewel will be expanding into the full size
flipping jig market for 2009. "We feel we have the finesse jig and football jig
spectrum covered" said Bryan Head, who is the national sales manager for
the company. We are always looking for way's to catch more fish and
flipping has always been very popular technique and a perfect fit for us . The
jig is designed for heavy cover fishing with heavy line. It will come in 6
colors and three size's, 3/8 with a 4/0 hook and 1/2 and 5/8 with a 5/0 hook.
"The hook is our ever so popular proprietary mustad ultra black ultra point
hook with a custom bend for greater hook ups and fewer lost fish that our
jig's are know for" explains Head. The skirts are designed with the popular
one shot collar system as all Jewel jig's are. It will also have a textured
finish that moves in the water as well or better than live rubber giving it a
realistic look. The full size jig will be available late fall 2008. Look for this
