Tournament: Get5Bass Summer Series

Anglers: Tim Coyle and Terrance Narveson - 3rd place
I got to hit the water again after a little break this past Thursday night. I was fishing with Tim Coyle
from Little Rock in the Get5Bass Summer Series thursday night tournament. After takeoff we ran to
a spot along the bank by Piney Creek entrance and were flipping grass along the shore line. We
could only produce a couple of small fish there and decided to move to the pads in Shoal Bay. After
the short run we were throwing frogs every direction possible and occasionally catching a fish. Tim
boated our first keeper at about 7:15 and we knew there had to be more. We didnt get another bite
so off to a another set of pads. It was 7:45 and we still had not added to our stringer we knew it was
time to make a decision. Run or stay? Well we just knew there were fish there so we turned around
and went back down the same stretch that only produced 1 blow up and one small fish. About half
way down wham I had a good 2.5-3lb fish and only a few casts later Tim had another 16 incher.
This proved to be the only fish we could catch out of there before having to come in but I think the
best part was getting to catch the fish on the SPRO Frogs right in your face in some of the heavy
cover then battling them out. We ended up third for the night and I cant wait until the next time on
the water.
