Bryce Smith and Eric Shattford Win Get5Bass Summer Series
Tournament on Lake Dardanelle
Eric Shattford and Bryce Smith "rocked" the field with 21.70 pounds!!!

Twenty-two boats came out to fish the last regular season Get5Bass Summer
Series tournament of year on Lake Dardanelle this past Saturday night. It
proved to be a great summer night and the cooler weather was a pleasant
change from the 100 degree heat. Bryce Smith and Eric Shattford kept the
heat turned up on the fish as they brought in a terrific limit of 21.70 lbs to
take the win. Second place went to Jared Allen and Spencer Grace as they
sealed the deal on Angler of the Year with another high finish. Here is how
they caught their fish.
1st place- Bryce Smith/Eric Shattford - 5 bass - 21.70lbs
Bryce and Eric found some fish shallow just off the wedbeds with plastics
and changed over to shallow crankbaits. This pattern started producing
better fish and they had a limit before midnight. Their last fish was caught on
a drop just before weigh-in and culled a three pounder. four of their keepers
were caught on crankbaits and the last came off a 10" worm.
2nd place - Spencer Grace/Jared Allen - 5 bass - 15.11lbs
Spencer Grace and Jared Allen take second and the "Angler of the Year" Title
With time running out and only two fish in the boat Spencer and Jared
moved to a drop and caught three more keepers in about five minutes. Their
fish were caught on 10" worms and jigs. Get5Bass Congratulates Spencer
and Jared on winning the "Angler of the Year" Title.
The Get5Bass Summer Series championship will be held September 23 on
Lake Dardanelle out of the State Park in Russellville. This is a "open
tournament" so anyone can fish. The top 10 (for list, click here) from the
Summer Series have earned a free entry to the championship and will be the
first boaters to take off. Launch time will be at 6:30 AM, with weigh-in at
3:00 PM. We want to thank everyone that fished this year and our sponsors
