Mike Andrus and Jason Wooten Win with 15.67 pounds!!!
The duo of Mike Andrus and Jason Wooten topped 20 teams fishing the first
Get5Bass Summer Series Tournament of the year (presented by Ridout
Lumber) by weighing 5 bass that tipped the scales at 15.67 pounds. For their
victory, Mike and Jason took home $325.00. The overcast conditions lead to a
good bite and 4 limits were brought to the scales. Here's how Mike and Jason
caught their fish:
1st - Mike Andrus and Jason Wooten - 5 bass - 15.67 pounds - $325.00
Mike and Jason fished channel swing banks on the main river (middle section of
Dardanelle), where they threw buzzbaits and jigs to catch their fish. Their sack
was anchored by the 2nd biggest bass of the evening, a 4.78 pound toad, which
Jason landed on a buzzbait. They commented that while they only landed 5
keepers, that they caught fish all evening long and had a great time!
