Tray Huddleston and Robbie Chavers Win the Get5Bass Winter
Series Tournament on Lake Dardanelle
Huddleston and Chavers find the monsters to take the win on Dardanelle

18 boats came out for the second Winter Series Tournament on Lake
Dardanelle. With the cold weather starting to settle in, some anglers may
have been too bundled up to feel the bite. There were only 7 limits brought
in but quality made up for the lack of numbers. Most of the anglers talked
about dropping water having an effect on their fishing areas. However, it
seemed the top two finishers really found the hot spot as they caught most
of their fish within sight of each other. Here is what they did to stroke them
on a relatively tough day.
1st - Tray Huddleston/ Robbie Chavers - 5 bass - 22.40 pounds - $700.00
They caught all their fish on the MegaBass 110 jerkbaits. They also topped
the big bass with a 5.55lb Dardanelle Sloth.
2nd - Wayne Dixon/Jared Allen - 5 bass - 21.38 pounds - $440.00
The jig bite was their go to bait and
they stuck with it to catch all their fish
late in the day for another great
sack of fish.

3rd - Kevin Short/Steve Howard - 5 bass - 18.83 pounds - $260.00
They were throwing the mixed variety of jerkbaits (Megabass 110, Pointers,
and Norman Razor Minnows). Kevin commented that they caught 12
keepers for the day and that the Jerkbait bite on Dardanelle is really
starting to fire up.
