Rusty Manning and Johnny Manning Win on Lake Hamilton!!!
Rusty and Johnny Manning topped 29 teams fishing the second Get5Bass Winter Series Tournament in the South Division by catching 5 bass that weighed 14.38 pounds. The weather was cold and wet, but as usual this tournament was a limit fest with 21 teams bringing a 5 bass limit to the scales. Here's how the top 3 teams caught their bass:
1st - Johnny and Rusty Manning - 5 bass - 14.38 pounds - $940.00
Johnny and Rusty concentrated on the deep bite. All of the fish they weighed were caught on War Eagle Jigs (Brown/purple, Green Pumpkin, Pond Scum). They commented that they caught between 15 and 20 keepers on the day.
Derwin said that he had an early crankbait and jerkbait bite. Most of his weight came on the H2O Express Jerkbait, including the day's big bass, a 5.34 pound "Toad" which earned him an additional $125.00
Tyler and Dakota also concentrated on the Deep bite. They threw Texas- rigged V&M High Tails around brushpiles in 20 feet of water to catch their bass. They commented that they caught at least 15 keepers during the day.
