Cody Kemp and Kevin Brown Win the Get5Bass Winter Series

Kevin Brown and Cody Kemp Win on DeGray Lake!!!

Nineteen boats came out Sunday to endure the cold steady December rain
and most were anticipating a good bite with the approaching frontal system,
and the fish did not disappoint.
First Place went to Kevin Brown and I, earning us $800.00 We had an
AWESOME day on the water throwing my new Spindarella , we had 4.5”
and 3.5” swimbaits on the back of it and let me tell you they were “choking”
em. We culled up to 23.10lbs and had a kicker fish that weighed in at just
over 7lbs. (far left in the picture)
Second Place went to Ryan Guthrie with 19.10lbs, earning him $440.00. I
was unable to talk to him after the weigh-in about what he used to catch his
fish because I had to rush off to catch a plane. But if I was a betting man I
would put my money on either the "original" Alabama Rig or the
"Spindarella" that he got from me just before take off.
Third place went to Greg and Carl Carpenter who had a really nice sack of
fish weighing 17.60lbs they caught all of their fish on the Spindarella. They
earned $260.00 on the day.
4th place - Gentry DePriest/Brent Williams - 17.10 pounds - $200.00
5th place - Danny Gwinn/Miles Dozier - 15.20 pounds - $100.00
Big Bass for the day was a MAGNUM 9.10lb fish caught by Steve Howard,
earning him $100.00
