Jamey Black and William Morris Win the Get5Bass Winter Series

William Morris and Jamey Black Win on Lake Hamilton!!!
Jamey Black and William Morris topped 34 teams fishing the Get5Bass
Winter Series Tournament this weekend on Lake Hamilton by catching 5
bass that tipped the scales at 12.64 pounds. Although it is still the Fall,
"Winter Series" was an appropriate name for this tournament, as
temperatures hovered around the 37 degree mark, there were Northwest
winds blowing in the 20 - 30 mph range, and snow occasionally flew from the
sky. The changing weather conditions turned the bite on, as every team
weighed bass and their were 31 limits brought to the scales. Here's how the
top three teams caught their fish:
1st - Jamey Black/William Morris - 5 bass - 12.64 pounds - $1020.00
Jamey and William hammered em' and had a great day on the water. They
estimated that they caught 20 keepers and their sack included the day's big
bass, a 4.98 pound "baby cub" which earned them an additional $150. Most
of their keepers were caught on Bandit 200 and 300 crankbaits fished
around windy banks and points, but they also caught keepers on Zoom
Brushhogs, spinnerbaits, and jigs.
2nd - Ricky and Trent Owens - 5 bass - 12.52 pounds - $600.00
Ricky and Trent caught all of
their fish on homemade jig
(1/2 Oz.; Black/Blue). They
caught their limit in the first
30 minutes and caught 10
keepers on the day.

3rd - Ray Neighbors/Mike White - 5 bass - 12.45 pounds - $370.00
Ray and Mike concentrated
on the mid-section of the lake,
where they threw jigs and
rattletraps to catch their fish.
They commented that most of
their fish were caught around
brushpiles.
