Zach King and Billy McCaghren win on Lake Dardanelle!!!
Zach King and Billy McCaghren topped 25 boats fishing the 7th Get5Bass
Summer Series Tournament of the season by catching 5 bass that tipped the
scales at 17.61 pounds. This event was brought to you by Fletcher Oil.
Storms moved in and out all night, which probably affected the way fish were
positioning themselves around the cover. The fishing remained good, as nine
5-bass limits crossed the scales. Here's how the winning team caught their
fish:
1st - Zach King and Billy McCaghren - 5 bass - 17.61 pounds - $525.00
Zach and Billy started around Piney Bay, where they were able to catch an
early limit swimming a jig around grass (Booyah; 3/8 oz.; black/blue). After
dark, they came back down the lake, where they caught two more keepers
after dark on a War Eagle spinnerbait (Black). Their sack was anchored by
the day's big bass, a 5.69 pound "Chub", which earned them an additional
$100.00.
