Tom Phillips and Brian Miller Win on Lake Dardanelle!!!
Tom Phillips and Brian Miller Topped 23 teams fishing the 5th Get5Bass
Summer Series Tournament of 2008 by catching 5 bass that tipped the
scales at 15.45 pounds. This week's event was brought to you by PDQ
Convenience Stores. A nice breeze had the fish biting, as 7 limits were
brought in and all but two teams weighed at least one bass. Here's how the
top 3 teams caught their fish:
1st - Tom Phillips and Brian Miller - 5 bass - 15.45 pounds - $500.00
Tom and Brian used a variety of lures to take the victory. A chatterbait,
swimbaits, and jigs all put fish in the boat.
2nd - Dick Sheide and Fred Van Buskirk - 4 bass - 13.94 pounds - $275.00
"Wind and Weeds" were the key
for Dick and Fred. They fished
spinnerbaits around the grass to
catch their fish. Dick said that they
lost a fish in the last 30 minutes
that may have cost them a shot at
the victory.

3rd - Shawn Gordon and Larry Dugger - 5 bass - 13.23 pounds - $175.00
Shawn and Larry threw Yum Money
Minnow Swimbaits and Booyah
Jigs to catch their fish. All of their
bass were positioned shallow in the
grass.
