Bryce Smith and Eric Shatford Win the Get5Bass Summer Series

Bryce Smith and Eric Shatford Win on Lake Dardanelle!!!

With a cold front moving in and a breezy evening of fishing the first Get5
Summer Series kicked off Thursday Night with Dardanelle still holding up
the good bite. 17 teams showed up to battle this evening and it was the team
of Bryce Smith & Eric Shatford that took the win with 17.82lbs. Here is how
they got them.
1st Place - 17.82lbs - Bryce Smith/Eric Shatford
Bryce and Eric were flipping shallow grass with Beavers and the bite was
light, so feeling the bite was tough but he said his Dobyns 704c rod and
Lake Fork Parallelium fluorcarbon line helped to detect when a fish picked
up the Beaver.
2nd Place - 15.94lbs - Tony Rankin/Jerry Watson
Tony and Jerry are not strangers to a good finish with us. They brought in
another good sack throwing brushhogs in the grass. They only had 5 bites
but they were quality fish.
3rd Place - 15.25lbs - Jeff Keene/Justin Keene
They ran to Piney bay and caught a few fish on lizards, spinnerbaits, and a
variety of lures, but late in the evening they picked up a buzzbait and boated
5 keepers in about 5 minutes before they ran back down.

Big Bass - 7.17lbs - Spencer Grace
Spencer caught this Swamp Monster on a Manns Stone Jig by a laydown in
the bayou.

The next tournament is April 22nd from 6-9pm the the Dardanelle State
Park.
