Johnny Rowton and Scott Suggs Win on DeGray Lake!!!

Story by Cody Kemp

Scott Suggs and Johnny Rowton topped the 15 boats that came out and
braved the wind, lightning, and rain that passed through Monday night, with
17.35 lbs They caught there fish in the mid lake area, but did not comment
on what was used to catch their fish. For there good sack they received
$230.00

2nd place - Tyler Whitley and Cody Kemp

The front really had the fish chomping for me and my partner Tyler, as we
culled 4 or 5 times on the night with the last time being a solid 4.2lb toad
around 10:30. 4 of our fish were caught on a Reaction Innovations Big Unit
worm. The other was caught on a jig. All of our fish were around 15 foot of
water on the outside edge of the grass. We thought we had around 18 lbs
going into the weigh-in but without a light on a dark rainy night we over-
estimated our catch by a couple pounds. We finished second with our bag of
16.18lbs. This finish moved us back up into the points race after a few of the
top teams had tough nights.

3rd place and Big Bass: Gabe Harrington and Jeremiah Kindy

Third place was another well known FLW competitor Jeremiah Kindy his
partner for the night was Gabe Harrington, they brought in another good
limit worth 15.87lbs and they also had the big bass of the night with a 4.83lb
"chunk".

The points lead has been taken by the team of Blake Wilson and Chad
Burrow!!!! They had another good finish tonight but couldn't find the quality
bites they needed to get into check range. But their consistent fish catching
has moved them past previous leaders Mason Hughes and Eric Waldroff.
Close behind them is the team of Evan Hughes and Justin Allman, who have
consistently brought at least one fish to the scales all year. Thanks to
everyone that came out and endured the rough weather… see yall next
week….
