Marsha Gipson and Sam Lowrey Win the Fishers of Men
Tournament on DeGray Lake

The final regular season tournament of Fishers of Men - Central
Arkansas Division was held on Lake DeGray on May 8. Tournament
winners and big bass went to the team of Marsha Gipson/Sam Lowrey
with a catch of 14.33 lbs. Second place went to the team of Chuck
Wisdom/Nathan Howell. Fish were in a post-spawn pattern and
Gipson/Lowery junk fished. Many different baits were used to catch
their limit.
The Angler’s of the Year race was tight all year long and went down to
the final fish on the final tournament. Angler of the year winners were
the team of Cody Davis/Tim Marshall. This team earned a bid into the
national tournament next spring.
The top fifteen teams from this division earned a spot to compete in the
the Regional tournament in October.
