Sammy Appleberry Wins on Lake Chicot!!!
The Dumas Bass Club season is getting close to the end, with only one more
points tournament remaining, the stage for the Angler of the Year title has
been set. This past weekend’s event at Lake Chicot only helped those in the
lead gain a little more ground. Taking 1st place with a 5 fish limit of 15.73 lbs
was “slamming” Sammy Appleberry. Sammy also had a 4.80lb Chicot lunker
for the day’s big bass.

Coming in 2nd with only 4 fish was Mr. Johnny Walker. His 4 fish sack
weighed in at 12.09 lbs.

Finishing in 3rd with 11.91 was Ricky Don Cantrell. This sac got him a
third place check, but it really helped him move on up in the AOY
standings. With only one left, we will see how it all works out.
