Tim Howard and Todd Mullens Win the DeGray Summer Series
Tournament on DeGray Lake

Twenty-two boats came out on Monday night for our final tournament of the
year. It was a hard rainy start to the night with anticipations of big bags
being brought to the scales. Everyone was ready to start chunkin!
First place team was Tim Howard and Todd Mullens. They had a solid
kicker fish weighing 7.10 pounds that helped them to their final weight of
18.10 pounds. The big fish and first place earned them a total of $380.00 on
the night
Second place was Adam Helm and Gentry Depriest. They had a solid limit
weighing 14.83 pounds and commented that they caught keepers all night
long. They earned $145.00 for their efforts.
Third place was brush busters Eric Waldroff and Mason Hughes. They had
another solid limit weighing 14.66 pounds which earned them $95.00
Fourth place was Brent Wheatley and Justin Pulley. They had a nice limit
for the final tournament weighing 13.69 pounds which earned them $40.00

With this being our final regular season tournament of the year, our points
winners are Johnny Rowton and Ronnie Shuffield. This duo was brutally
tough to beat all year long. Congratulations to you guys, as you are the first
team crowned “Team Degray” 2010. They will be earning free entry fee into
our championship worth $60.00, 2 Dobyns Savvy Series Rods ($320 value)
and the NEW coveted Team Degray championship belts that will be passed
from team to team each year with each year’s "Team DeGray" getting
their name engraved on the side so that 20 years from now we will be able to
see the history of what great fishermen our Team Degray Summer Series
has produced.
This year’s championship will be September 4th from 4:00pm to 12:00am. It
will be an 8 hour tournament half during the day and half at night. The top 5
points earners above will be receiving free entry fees into the championship.
We will also have two open benefit tournaments August 21st 6pm to 2am
and August 28th 6pm to 2am. These tournaments will be $60 entry fee with
80% payback at the ramp with the other 20% going toward the
championship.
