Ron Shuffield and Johnny Rowton Win the Degray Summer
Series Tournament on DeGray Lake

35 boats came out Monday night and from what I had heard about the lake
while I was off getting married, it was going to we a big bag bonanza come
11:00pm. This certainly held up to be true as we had three huge bags for
only four hours of fishing. Makes you wonder what exactly this lake could
produce in an 8 hour tournament right now.
Our top spot was Johnny Rowton and Ronnie Shuffield the duo had a solid
bag that weighed 19.81lbs they also had big fish for the night that weighed
in at 6.19lbs. Total won was $590.00 for the night. Ronnie commented all
his fish were caught dragging around a big worm.
Second place was another huge bag caught by Rusty Manning and Johnny
Manning weighing 19.56lbs which would normally when any tournament on
lake Degray but it is on FIRE right. For Rusty and Johnny’s finish they
earned $230.00 on the night.
Third place was Ben Jackson and Barry Sutton they had the other solid
stringer that weighed 17.55lbs and it was worth a healthy $140.00
