16 boats came out Friday night to face the tough Degray conditions. The lake is just sprouting some good strands of grass out deep where the fish want to be when its triple digits outside. Only a couple teams found a way to finish there limit on this tough night.
First place team was Bobby and Robby Daniel They had a solid limit of fish worth 14.55lbs. This won them $320.00 on the night. They didn’t comment much about what was used to capture there bag.
2nd Place Big Bass
Second place team was Gentry Depriest and Adam Helm. They had 4 fish that weighed 13.85lbs. the majority of that weight came from a 7.45lb "stroker" Adam caught on a big worm. They won $160.00 for the 2nd place and an additional $80.00 for big bass on the night. They commented all there fish came from the 15 foot range on big worms and jigs.
3rd place
Third place team was the team of Josh Jeffers and John Clement they had 3 fish that weighed 11.45lbs this won them $80 dollars on the night. They commented they should have hauled over 20.00lbs for the night but couldn’t get em in the net once beside the boat. Big worms out deep was the trick for them out to 20 foot.
