Jeremy and Jim Risley Win on the Arkansas River!!!

Jim and Jeremy topped 12 boats to take the Funky Fruit Jar win on Saturday
August 30. The bite on the river has been tough lately but some of the best
anglers in the area came out to see what they could do on this day. Jim and
Jeremy weighed in a 5 fish limit of 13.76. Here is how the top 2 finishers caught
their fish:
1st – Jim and Jeremy Risley - 5 bass – 13.76 pounds
Jim and Jeremy caught close to 20 keepers on the day. They caught fish on jigs,
crankbaits, and topwaters up the river. Check out the “In the Boat” column for

2nd – Alan Melder and Philip Starks - 5 bass – 13.62 pounds
Phillip and Alan stated they only had one keeper at 1 pm. Then between 1 and 3
pm, they caught their fish on crankbaits in shallow water.
Big Bass – Billy Ray Booker – 5.84 pounds
Billy Ray caught this “Toad” on topwater early in the Annex. He had 4 fish on the
day that went 13.32 pounds.
