Gary Bundy and John Hagood Win 16th Annual Rogers-Lowell
Area Buddy Bass Tournament on Beaver Lake

John Hagood and Gary Bundy Win on Beaver Lake!!!

Gary Bundy and John Hagood topped 318 teams fishing the Rogers-Lowell
Area Buddy Bass Tournament on Beaver Lake by bringing 6 bass (not a
misprint, the limit was
6) to the scales that weighed 22.86 pounds. Their bag
was anchored by a 6.30 pound "toad". For their efforts, the duo took home a
Jay travel trailer (donated by McGaugh RV Center) valued at $20,000. Here's
how the top 3 teams caught their fish:

1st - Gary Bundy and John Hagood - 6 bass - 22.86 pounds

Gary and John capitalized on the
early bite, putting a limit in the boat
by 10:30 AM. Their key baits were
a Super Spook and a 7/16 oz. Jewel
Eakins Jig (Black and Blue). Their
two largest bass were caught on
the jig. They caught "at least" 15
keepers on the day.

2nd place  - Randy Clark and Dale Parker - 6 bass - 18.92 pounds

Randy and Dale got a late start to
their day, but that didn't stop them
from busting a big bag. Their sack
was anchored by a 8.00 pound
"Giant", which was caught on a
Lake Fork Magic Shad swimbait. To
fill out their limit, they used shakey
head worms (Berkley), Carolina-
rigged Lake Fork Lizards, and jigs.
They landed 11 keepers on the day.

3rd place - Kevin Sears and Charles Harp - 5 bass - 15.28 pounds

Kevin and Charles couldn't get to
their first spot by the dam because
of the fog, so they stopped in Rocky
branch, where they landed a 3.5
pound smallmouth. They used
topwater baits, tubes, and jigs
(brown/purple) to catch their fish.
Kevin said the jig was their key bait,
and they fished it in 10 - 15 ft. of
water.
