Darrel O'neil and Charles Dickerson Win the 30th Annual
Bailey's Tournament on Lake Dardanelle
Charles Dickerson and Darrell O'neil Win on Lake Dardanelle!!!
Charles Dickerson and Darrel O'neil topped 39 teams fishing the 30th
annual Bailey's Tournament held on Lake Dardanelle by catching 5 bass
that tipped the scales at 23.27 pounds. This event is a River Valley tradition
and is usually a slug fest!!! This year was no different, as several quality
sacks crossed the scales including 2 bags over 20-pounds. Here is how the
top 3 teams caught their fish:
1st - Charles Dickerson and Darrell O'neil - 5 bass - 23.27 pounds
Charles and Darrell had a great day
on the water, landing 14 - 15 keepers
during the tournament. Their fish were
caught in the middle section of the
lake, and their best bite occurred during
the morning hours. A jig was their lure
of choice.

2nd - Tray Huddleston and Dylan Hawkins - 5 bass - 20.30 pounds
Tray and Dylan had to "grind it out"
to catch their big bag. They only
landed 6 keepers, but their bag was
anchored by the day's big bass, a
7.54 pound "giant". The key to their
day was using larger baits, and the
majority of their fish were landed on
Gambler soft plastics.

3rd - Zach King and Josh Hilton - 5 bass - 18.65 pounds
Zach and Josh fished in the Piney
Bay area and described the bite as
"lite". Their fish were caught on
Yum Lizard's (6" Junebug) and Davis
Jigs.
