Don Douglas Wins the Bassmaster Weekend Series

Don Douglas Wins on Lake Dardanelle!!!
Don Douglas topped 60 boaters fishing the second Bassmaster
Weekend Series Tournament of the season by catching 3 bass that
weighed 15.34 pounds. The bite remains brutally tough on Lake
Dardanelle and 5-bass limits were a rarity. Here's how the top 3 boaters
caught their fish:
1st - Don Douglas - 3 bass - 15.34 pounds
Don caught his bass on a spinnerbait. He was having a slow day but it
turned around at noon when he found a school in a shallow pocket.
2nd - Darrell West - 5 bass - 15.23 pounds
Darrell stayed on the trolling motor
all day and threw a rattletrap to
catch his fish.

3rd - Steve Bowman - 5 bass - 14.14 pounds
Steve caught keepers on a jig, a
crankbait, and on a Zoom Brushhog.
He commented that his best bite
came around shallow wood.

4th - Shawn Gordon - 5 bass - 13.42 pounds
5th - Ryan Williams - 4 fish - 13.12 pounds
6th - Tray Huddleston - 5 fish - 13.08 pounds
1st place - Co-angler: Brian Woolfolk - 3 bass - 11.89 pounds
Brian fished with Danny Gwinn, and
gave all the credit to him for his
victory. Brian caught his fish on
jigs (black/blue).
