Wayne Dixon and Jared Allen Win ATU Benefit Tournament on Lake Dardanelle
Wayne Dixon and Jared Allen Win on Lake Dardanelle
Story by Terrance Narveson
11 boats came out and braved the cold day Saturday and for some it was a tough day. For the fortunate ones that brought in a limit they were big. There were 4 fish over 6lbs weighed in and two sacks over 20lbs. The lightest limit weighed in was 18+ lbs. Wayne Dixon/ Jared Allen brought in a huge sack (25lbs 5ozs) to take the win. Here is how they caught their fish.
1st Place Dixon/Allen - 25lbs 5ozs They started their morning in the strip pits and after that didn't produce any fish it was a short move to the lake throwing crankbaits along the edge of the dead grass. Their sack consisted of two 6 pounders and two five pounders with one 3 pounder for their small fish. What a catch.
Johnny Judkins and Justin Lancaster
2nd Place Judkins/Lancaster - 20lbs 14ozs The jig bite is what they relied on for the day. Focusing on riprap with their black/blue jigs in the lower lake area produced another 20lb sack for the duo again this year. Johnny/Justin executed on all 8 of their bites to bring in the healthy sack Saturday.
Billy Albert with a "mule"
Big Bass Billy Albert - 6lbs 14ozs Billy found a bank that produced three of their fish and one was this "hog" caught on a jerkbait.
