Kent McLure and Rick Duren Win on Lake Hamilton
Story provided by Ron Plate
43 Teams were up bright and early on New Year’s Day to fish the Annual Anvil Jaw Bass Club Tournament. The teams were greeted to 2012 with cooler temps and a strong wind for the 1st fishing tournament of 2012. As most folks know the Alabama rig has been the talk of the town for the last few weeks and once again they did their thing (commercial made or homemade) as 9 bags of fish came to the scales over 15 lbs with lots of talk of folks with 12+ lbs of fish who didn’t even waste their time weighing in as they knew they were not in the money. So after the weighing fest was over, the team of Rick Duren and Kent McLure came to the top with a weight of 24.51 lbs for the 1st place win.
